THE USE OF PROMETHEE OUTRANKING METHOD IN EVALUATION OF HOUSING PROJECTS
Abstract :
Real estate is one of the most important and fast-growing sectors in the Turkish economy. The interest on housing sector has caused to put many new housing projects on the market. The evaluation of housing projects by decision makers can be handled as a multi-criteria decision making problem. Many different methods have been developed to solve multi-criteria decision making problems. In this study, one of the most efficient and easily applicable multi-criteria methods, namely PROMETHEE method has been used with GAIA plane in order to evaluate various housing projects on sale at Karşıyaka district of İzmir based on several criterias, such as comfort, gross floor area, number of rooms and location.
