Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the forgiveness tendency and revenge intention levels in work life and to explain how the results change according to the perceived victimization levels of employees. The research was examined with hotel employees in Izmir and 187 questionnaires were evaluated. The results showed that almost half of the employees were the victims of aggressive behaviours and most of them were female and having less job experience than others. Moreover, it was seen that the increase in perceived victimization affect forgiveness tendency levels in a negative way whereas it affects the revenge intention positively. Another result of the research was that employees could choose revenge intention option easily than others. In this respect the results of this research should be evaluated by managers of the lodging enterprises -where employee satisfaction is also important while concentrating on the customer satisfaction- and tourism researchers.
