Abstract :
This paper is aimed to determine the relationships among teachers perceptions of organizational politics and organizational loneliness and intention to quit. In the study, the correlational research design was used considering the focus of the research, as it is about the relationship between two variables and the mediating variables determining this relationship. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 439 teachers recruited by secondary schools in Kadıköy district of Istanbul province during the 2018 to 2019 school year. Perception of organizational politics scale, organizational loneliness scale, and intention to quit scale were used to collect data. The results of structural equation modeling revealed that not only did the perception of organizational politics affect social friendship negatively, but it also affected positively both emotional deprivation and intention to quit. Two dimensions of organizational loneliness also play a fully mediating role in the relationship between the perception of organizational politics and the intention to quit.
