The Investigation of Bearing Capacity Changes of A Chip Seal Road Pavement By Using Prima 100 and Dynatest 3031 Light Weight Deflectometer Devices
Abstract :
Light Weight deflectometer tests are economical and simple nondestructive tests method that wereused to determining of bearing capacity of multi layered pavements. One of the most importantadvantage of this devices have portable systems. A fixed weight is applied on the circular plate with the devices like a traffic affects on the layered pavement surface. Deflections are become on the pavements surface for this load application, The deflections are measured with a geophone sensor of the plate and layer stiffness modulus of layers are back calculated. In this study, structural capacity variations of chip sealed pavement roads was investigated with nondestructive tests which were performed with two different LWD devices and results were correlated. Deflections values are close to each other which were determined both of the LWD devices however Dynatets LWD results are more consistent than other.
