Abstract :
In a lighting system, factors such as wearing, pollution, dusting and decrease in output of lighting elements in time, have negative effects on lighting level dispersion on the working plane. Such negative conditions that occur in time in lighting systems cause many disadvantages in terms of both energy consumption and ergonomic working conditions. To establish healthy working environments, it is mandatory to provide a sufficient and stable lighting level. After installation phase of a lighting system, to measure the light level dispersion in that environment is a long and tiring struggle. In this study, the lighting concept is examined from different aspects under title of artificial neural networks and to determine the lighting quality in indoor areas, artificial neural networks are used. Thanks to artificial neural networks, measurements that are not possible with traditional calculation methods and take long time with measurement apparatuses have been calculated with minimum error rate and the calculations have been modeled as three dimensional in Matlab medium. In this manner, maintenances of lighting systems that are complicated and take long time have been realized in a shorter time and more reliable manner. Consequently, in this study, the success level of artificial neural networks in calculation of lighting level and its quality has been observed and it has been determined that more correct results could be obtained in terms of both economy and usage.
