Acceleration Setting Time of Porcelain Insulator Joining Mortar with Hot Water Curing

Abstract
The setting time of porcelain insulator joining mortar takes 2 or 3 days in setting rooms during the long term production process. Setting process includes the following steps. The insulators are keeped to gain their strength after pinned for 1 day on holders. In the second day, the pinned insulators are mortared to be keplenmek and taken into setting rooms. The setting time is 2 days for K3 insulators and 1 day for chain type insulators. A short setting time is important for transporting termins to the customers and for reducing the number of workers. So that, in this study, it was aimed to reduce the setting time of mortar.
