Abstract :
Wood is one of the most widely used construction materials due to being unique renewable andenvironmental friendly natural resources. With its easy processing, physical and mechanical properties, aesthetic appearance, environmental and health aspects, there is a growing interest to use wood and wood based composites for applications in both residential and non-residential building construction. Wood has been a structural material for many years however, its ability to ignite and burn has limited its use in some applications. Wood and wood-based materials consist of carbon and hydrogen and have the property of combustibility. When the micro structural analysis of the coal layer of the wood was treated, fire-retardants was done; it was seen that there was a different coalification in comparison with untreated wood, this coalification contained macro components of fire-retardants and existence of these components had an influance on the degree of coalification and the appearance of the coal. Wood internal and external environment against the effects of protection (construction and furniture industry, material handling strength increased) and the fire retardant used to determine durability with increasing life will contribute significantly to the national economy.
