Image Processing Techniques for the Analysis of Mold Growth
Abstract :
The food industry, in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) standards by factory default until the expiration date for the determination of the commercial quality of the products up to the finished product shows the number of all microbial flora it is assumed.Quality indicators are used routinely; total bacteria, total coliforms, Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, yeast and molds. In practice, the analysis of mold and yeast growth is done through the media using tools like caliper at the end of the incubation period. Human perception is mainly provided by the visual sensory skills. Human beings do not see objects to classify or define just scan a particular scene or look to get an impression about his feelings. Human, with images obtained through this ability that has a very fast and be able to handle a large amount of capacity. In this study, determined by image processing techniques of mold growth rate of time-bound development aims to develop alternative assessment methods for microbiological studies. As a result of the study, PID controlled models Elektromag M3025p oven, environmental conditions necessary for the development of moulds have been made available for the provision of the revised study. In the revised incubator cabinet, temperature and light distribution uniformity is ensured by plexiglass and vinyl material. As a result, ensuring consistent operation of hardware and software components developed an alternative method to the current evaluation criteria.
