Title Of Article :
Determination of Antibiotic Susceptibility of Escherichia Coli Bacteria with Image Processing Techniques
Abstract :
Antimicrobial susceptibility testing is performed to determine the in vitro activity of antimicrobialagents against a certain type of bacteria. The aim of this study, is to examine the behaviordemonstrated against bacteria with different groups of antibiotics by disk diffusion test over time using image processing techniques. Whereby both quantitative data will be obtained and preventing the contamination problem. In this study determined the interaction of antibiotics and bacterial group and aims to develop alternative assessment methods for microbiological studies. In this study, 24 hours incubation for Escherichia coli (E. coli) strains taken image and recorded. Observation of growth of E. coli strains occurring on or after the 20th hour. E. Coli bacteria has been found resistant to antibiotics of the Cl and sensitive to Zox and C antibiotics. The highest level of sensitivity was observed for the C antibiotics. According to the results, in this time period (20‐24 hours) it did not exhibit a large change in the diameter measurement. Therefore, the disk diffusion method is applied in the study 24 hours, depending on the bacteria s growth rate, without waiting until the incubation sensitivity‐resistance state can be determined. This results have shown that in less time for DDT method access to test results.
