Abstract :
In this work, microstructure and tensile behaviours of Nb added PM steels sintered at differenttemperatures were investigated. The microstructure of the PM steels was characterised by opticmicroscope. Results indicated that optimal sintering temperature is 1350°C and 0.2 wt. % Nb added PM steel showed the highest values in yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS). However, when the amount of Nb content increased from 0.2 to 2 wt.%, yield strength and ultimate tensile strength decreased. Elongation also tends to decrease with increasing Nb content.
