Abstract :
Aerated concrete is finely ground silica origin aggregate and cement and lime as binder withpore-forming chemicals group consisting of lightweight concrete building materials located. Blast furnaces laghaving a pozzolanic properties derived from iron production facility is an industrial waste material.Building material design and manufacture of today energy and raw materials conservation are importance issues. For this purpose in this study used blast furnace slag in the production of autoclaved aerated concrete rather than silica sand and 7x7x7 cm cube size aerated concrete samples were produced. Examples 165 °C in subjecting pressure steam curing in an autoclave cured. Bulkdensity and compressive strength test are perdormed on the test samples to determine the physical and mechanical properties. Bulk density values of samples 0.8 gr/cm^3 and compressive strength values of 8 MPa was observed to have reached the level was found to have similar physical and mechanical properties with commercial aerated concrete.
