Abstract :
I would like to share with my colleagues and students my observations on Research Models in Translation Studies II Conference that was organized jointly between 29 April and 2 May, 2011 by Manchester University Translation Studies and Intercultural Studies and Intercultural Research Centre of University College London, which I participated in with a paper. The Conference, which was the second of a series aiming to become traditional, received a large participation and provided a challenging opportunity for us that triggered scientific and social interaction. The Organizing Committee consisted of Mona Baker, Theo Hermans, Luis Perez-Gonzales and Maeve Olahan, and among the members of the Advising Committee were researchers such as Ian Mason, Martha Cheung, Moira Inghilleri as well as our colleague from Boğaziçi University Ebru Diriker.
