SELECTIVE SYNTHESIS OF CYCLIC THIONOCARBONATES DERIVED FROM SUGARS
Abstract :
A new route to cyclic thionocarbonates derived from unprotected sugars is reported in this paper. These are used as intermediates to unsaturated carbohydrates. The reaction requires a preparation of a new selective thioacylating reagent and lead at first to acyclic thionocarbonate. A migration of aryloxythiocarbonyl group followed by cyclisation gives the desired cyclic derivative.
