Abstract :
DEFPOS (Dual Etalon Fabry-Perot Optical Spectrometer) located in coudé exit of RTT150 telescope at TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG, Antalya) has used to measure Hα emission line from diffuse ionized gas in Our Galaxy (The Milk Way) [1]. Hα emission line observations were made in direction toward three different points of HII region around O9.5 V ζ Oph star. From observations toward HII region, we found the mean intensity to be 86 R and 92 R (1 R 1 Rayleigh =106/4 photon cm^-2 s^-1 sr^-1), the mean LSR velocity to be 1 km/s to 3 km/s and also the mean line-width approximately to be 23.44 km/s and 24.4 km/s. We found that our results are in close agreement with early results given in literature. In this study, we give information firstly about DEFPOS spectrometer and then its data analysis and methods finally about the data obtained from ζ Oph HII region.
