Abstract
Magnesite is constitude raw material of magnesium compounds which is used in various fields to pharmaceutical industry from heavy industry. Magnesite is converted to sintered magnesite used to make material which especially heat-resistant refractory and Turkey has an important place in the world in terms of reserve. In our country, vein and stockwork type magnesite form in the crack and fracture of serpentinized ultramafic rocks are more common and similar to the Kraubath tye magnesite deposits according to the classification of magnesite formation. Host rock of magnesite occurrences, mineral content and geochemical features are important to determine the origin of magnesite deposits. SiO_2, Fe_2O-3, CaO, Al-2O_3 content is important to determining the quality of magnesite and economic evaluation is done according to these values.
