Abstract :
This research aims, taking into account demographic characteristics such as grade levels, gender and age, to determine the secondary school students’ perspectives of science and technology, to examine their views on schools and how much they give place science and technology in plans about the future. The research, a descriptive survey study, was carried out under the Mobilim project implementation of Bozok University and conducted in ten secondary schools of Yozgat with the participation of 350 students. In the research as a data collection tool was used a questionnaire, developed by Barmby, Kind, Jones, and Bush (2005), parts on identifying the students’ perspectives about science and technology, their schools and their future plans. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 statistical program. The reliability study of the scale was made under this research and reliability of the sample was calculated as α = 0.86. In the results of research, it was determined that the students had positive attitudes about school and the gender variable did not constitute significantly different in the average attitude scores (p 0.05). Age differences significantly affected students attitudes toward plans for the future (p 0.05), the grade level variable significantly didn’t affect students attitudes towards science and technology (p 0.05).
