Abstract :
As cement, which is used extensively on construction, has high costs and negative impacts on environment, research for alternative materials on construction technology are considered. Therefore, pozzolanic materials are widely used in the cement and concrete technology. In this study, fly ash and perlite which are used as addition agents are evaluated. CEM I 42.5 R type cement was substituted by fly ash and perlite %10 in weight. Then, mechanical properties of producedcement mortar prisms were evaluated. The flexural strength and compressive strength test results showed that perlite, which is a natural deposit, and fly ash, which is waste of thermal power plants, can be used.
