The interchanges and traffic safety
Abstract :
The aim of this study is different types of interchanges and the traffic safety of these interchanges which built in the heavy traffic intersection. The intersections are built commonly in heavy traffic junction to provide the traffic flow safely. In general, traffic safety is maintained by overall traffic markings and light signaling system in these intersections. Despite all these expedients, intersections cannot provide enough service. Therefore, although interchanges have high economic costs, they are applied in traffic intersections and heavy traffic regions. Different types of interchanges can be built depending on the traffic density and types of road on the intersection. In this study, different types of interchanges and traffic safety in Elazig are discussed and examined
