Title Of Article :
Structural analysis of eskişehir fault and surroundings using field observations and alos-palsar images
Abstract :
This study aimed to determine and analyze structural elements of the Eskişehir Fault and surroundings using field observations and ALOS-PALSAR images. The study area had 287 lineaments determined on ALOS-PALSAR images with a total of 177 layers, joints/fractures and schistocity measured in the field simultaneously. All this data was interpreted using a contour-rose diagram and a NE-SW compressional direction and NW-SE extensional direction were identified. All of this data is generally in accordance with the current compression-extension regime in Western Anatolia. The data which are not fully compliant with these directions may be related to structures from the paleotectonic period, may represent boundaries between geological units or may be due to color variations.
