Flora Of Aygörmez Mountains (Kayseri-Tomarza) Between Kızılören-Güzelsu-Turanlı Villages

Flora of Aygörmez Mountains (Kayseri-Tomarza), the Area of Kızılören-Güzelsu-Turanlı Villages was determined. Aygörmez Mountains are located in the North of Kayseri. The altitude of research area ranges between1550-2020 m. Between 2013-2014, 545 plant samples are collected from the research area. It is determined that there are 345 taxa (253 species, 68 subspecies and 24 varieties) in the sampling area that belongs to 59 families and 198 genera. Of the 345 taxa, 3 and 342 taxa belongs to Pterophyta and Spermatophyta respectively. While Gymnospermae subdivision containg four, Angiospermae subdivision contains 338 taxa. 295 taxa of Angiospermae are in the Dicotyledoneae and 43 taxa are in Monocotyledoneae classes. The number of endemic taxa are 52 (%15.07). 72 (%21.15), 20 (%5.79 ) and 17 (%4.92) taxa were determined as Irano–Turanian, Mediterranean and Euro–Siberian elements respectively. 236 (%68.40) taxa are cosmopolitan plants. Considering the taxa number, the top three families are Asteraceae (55), Brassicaceae (27) and Fabaceae (26). According to taxa number, the first three genera are Centaurea L. (13) Astragalus L.(12) and Salvia L. (8).
