Analysis Of the Flute Techniques in the 20th Century Music With Suggestions to the Flutists and Composer

20th century composers extended the technical capacities of many instruments with their works. As a result of experimental studies between composers and performers, new performance techniques are developed which made the flute rapidly very colorful and technically sophisticated musical instrument. Flute as a popular instrument used by modern composers mostly for the timbre, sound effects and other various extended techniques. The purpose of this article is to analyze the important techniques of the flute performance in the 20th century music and give suggestions to the flutists about applying these techniques to the flute performances.
