Transformation of the Health Policies in Turkey: An Analysis onthe Provincial Organization of the Ministry of Health
Abstract :
The study intends to review and analyze the transformation in health sector initiated with the Transformation Program in Turkey in 2003, through provincial organization of the Ministry of Health. In the study, The Transformation Program in Health and Decree Law Number 663 are used as assessment tools and normative evaluation is held. The reorganization of provincial organization of the Ministry of Health has important differences in terms of previous organizational structure, service provision and personnel regime. The provincial organization-structure of the Ministry of Health, which is focused previously on the Provincial Directorates of Health has been transformed into a structure focused on the Public Hospital Association and The Public Health Directorate and the Provincial Directorate of Health.
