Abstract :
The school social service is being planned to start by 2016 in our country. The fact that this implementation is depending upon sound basis is important in terms of having preventive services and ensuring the welfare of students, schools, families and society that will benefit from the implementation. However, apart from the cooperation among children, family and school, the emphasis on only the identification of children with violence stories and psycho-social support for them in the establishment of school social service system will limit the service itself and diminish the expected benefits. Therefore, it must be known why school social school service is needed, what problems this implementation is addressing, what fundamental basis this implementation is depending upon, what new model samples are and what guiding samples in this implementation are. The aim of this article is to contribute to forming an implementation framework for the school social service units in our country by offering a perspective in the topics mentioned above.
