Evaluation of Soil Quality in Kuzgun Dam Lake Water Production Basin
Abstract :
The purpose of this study, Kuzgun Dam Lake water production basin in terms of soil quality index parameters necessary to evaluate and assist the planning of forest-soil-water management systems. Terms of soil quality in research area physical and chemical soil properties and some morphological characteristics were evaluated according to quality criteria taking into account the parametric method. Relative values of factors were taken into consideration with the land suitability classes were determined by calculating the quality index values. In the research field created the quality parameters database by using geographic information systems and digitally mapped. Land area of research in terms of quality classification, 1.62% percent (382.65 ha), very good (S1), 65.81% of them (15,552.72 hectares) good (S2), 26.43%-third (6246.56 ha), medium (S3), and 6.14%-third (1,451.75 ha), bad (N) is determined.
