Abstract :
Mt. Gelincik Nature Park has a great potential in recreational terms with its rich natural and cultural resources. It is important to determine these resources and make plannings in the direction of these data in order to provide protection and use of the area. In this study, natural and cultural resources of Mt. Gelincik Nature Park and recreational landscape values were determined and of the area were determined by using expert views me. The analysis for the recreational use of the area was carried out on the basis of field works using expert views and they were the result of the analysis was included in the area map. Accordingly, nine points of the nature park viewing particularly Lake Eğirdir and Senirkent Plain were determined as the areas with higher recreational value. These areas are located in Tahtacıçukuru hill, Küçükkapı hill, Çıplak site in the eastern part of the area; Gelincikana hill, Mt. Gelincik, Karabeygir hill, Dere plateau in the southern part; Kızıl hill in the northern part. The current problems and facilities of the area were also determined by using expert views in order to use them as a guide for the planning of the nature park. According to the problem possibility analysis conducted in this way, the most important threat risks in the area are seismicity, landslide, avalanche, over-breeding of pigs, flood risks and uncontrolled grazing pressure. Having no visitor management and control and inspection mechanism throughout the nature park also threatens the sustainable use of the area.
