Abstract :
Cittaslow is a convers movement to promotion/development/change/speed in todays technology. It is founded as a protection mechanism to fast living way destroying the life. The inspiration of Cittaslow is the Slow Food organization and it’s goals include improving the quality of life in towns by slowing down its overall pace, especially in a city’s use of spaces and the flow of life. It is founded in Roma 1986 as a city network for that purposes. Tercan (Erzincan-Turkey) is one of small city in Eastern Anatolian Region with substantial natural, cultural and historical heritage that is suitable to be a slow city. In this study the natural, cultural and historical potantial of Tercan was examined in respect to Cittaslow principles i.e making life better for everyone living in an urban environment, improving the quality of life in the city, resisting the homogenization and globalization of the town araound the globe, protecting the environment, promoting cultural diversity, provide inspiration for healthier life. Master plan principles was revealed to be a Cittaslow for Tercan town.
