Abstract :
This study, was conducted to examine yield and quality performance of some break wheat varieties and lines Which obtained from domestic and abroad breeding organizations programs in Diyarbakır ecological conditions in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 production seasons. Experiments were carried out in randomized complete block design with three replications. In the experiment; plant height (cm), heading time, grain yield (kg/da), thousand kernel weight (g), hectoliter weight (kg) and protein content (%) were examined. It was found out that, grain yield ranged between 5809-7820 kg / ha, the highest grain yield was obtained from 3, 7, 11 and 12 numbered genotypes, while the lowest grain yield was obtained 22 numbered genotype (5809 kg / ha). Test weight is a quality factor, and in terms of test weight the highest value was obtained from 14 numbered genotype (82.4 kg), while the highest protein content was obtained with 11.9 % in 17 numbered genotype. According to the results of this study, it was seen that some genotypes which were obtained from abraod were found to be promising in term of yield and quality characters.
