The effects of various antioxidants diets containg α-tocopherol acetate and daphne leave extract on growth parameters and fatty asit compositions of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
Abstract :
In this study, the effects of diets on growth parameters and flesh fatty asit compositions of rainbow trouts were studied. The diets used in the experiment were control, 250 and 500 mg/kg α-tocopherol acetate and 250 and 500 mg/kg daphne leaves extract containing antioxidants. The initial and final mean weights of the fish fed with experimental diets were 107,71g and 195,85 (α-tocopherol acetate) respectively. The differences among the final mean weights of experimental groups were not significant (P 0.05). MUFA, PUFA, DHA, n-3 and n-3/n-6 final concentrations of fish flesh were significantly increased as compared to the initial concentrations, whereas n-6 concentrations were significantly reduced (P 0.05).
