Abstract :
The objektive of the study was to evaluate winter hardiness, yield and yield components of some released Turkish chickpea cultivals in Mardin Kızıltepe conditions. Experiments were arranged in randomized complete block design with three replications. Ten released chickpea cultivals (Izmir-92, Menemen-92, Isık-05, Yasa-05, Canitez-87, Diyar-95, ILC-482, Gökçe ve Er-99) were usud in the experiment. In the study plant height, first pod height, number of branches, number of pods per plant, seed number per pod, 100 seed weight, harvestindex, grain yield per unit area and the crude protein content were determined. At the end of the experiments takinginto account the pooled data,, the highest average grain yield was found in the cultivar Er-99 (277.4 kg/da) and the lowest average grain yield was found in Isık-05 chickpea cultivar (141.7 kg/da). The highest average protein content was found in the cultivar Canitez-87 (27.1 %) and the lowest average protein content was found in Diyar-95 chickpea cultivar (19.9 %).
