An Economic Comparison Between The Cattle Breeders Who are Members of Erzurum Province Cattle Breeders Association (EPCBA) and Those Who are not Members
Abstract :
The objective of this study is to determine the economical structure of dairy farms currently operating in Erzurum province. To this end, 204 questionnaires were prepared for two groups of cattle breeders one being the members and the other non-members of EPCBA. As a result of this study, it was concluded that the cattle breeders who are members of Erzurum Province Cattle Breeders Association are younger, deal less with non-agricultural works, obtain higher yield per animal and have a higher number of culture animals when compared with nonmembers.In addition, the members made better use of agricultural subsidies and other support programs compared to non-members.
