Abstract :
This research was conducted to determine yield, quality and adaptations of some warm season perennial legumes species and cultivars as Stylosanthes hamata cv. Verano, Stylosanthes guianensis cv. Cook, Stylosanthes scabra cv. Seca, Stylosanthes scabra cv. Caatinga, Aeschynomene americana cv Lee, under irrigated conditions in Çukurova region during the year of 2012. In the study, plant height, green herbage and dry matter yield, crude protein, ADF and NDF ratios, RFV (relative feed value) were determined. The experimental design was completely randomized block design with four replications. According to the results, the highest plant height (86.5 cm), the highest green herbage yield (6852.0 kg/da) and dry matter yield (1727.7 kg/da) were obtained from the Aeschynomene americana cv Lee. The highest crude protein ratio (17.8%) and the lowest ADF (34.3%), the highest RFV (124.5) were obtained from the alfalfa. The lowest NDF (46.2%) was obtained from the Stylosanthes hamata cv Verano.
