Abstract
To evaluate the adaptability and quality of some Fescue species in southeast Turkey present study has been conducted between 2004-2006 as three years experiment. Four cultivars of creeping red fescue (Festuca rubra spp. rubra L.), six chewing red fescue (Festuca rubra spp. commutata Gaud.) and four sheep fescue (Festuca ovina L.) were evaluated. Based on the results it has been concluded that for the turf area at Diyarbakır conditions the cultivar of chewing red fescue as Bargreen, the cultivar of sheep fescue as Bornita and the cultivar of creeping red fescue as Livinus could be preferred.
