Abstract
High speed processing of ferrous or non-ferrous metal products used cutting edge can be produced from high-tech ceramics. Used as a cutting tool in the study Sialon(KY 2000) and silicon nitride(KY3500) (Si3N4) based thermal conductivity of the two corners are determined experimentally and numerically. Studies conducted in experimental density by liquid displacement method (ρ) measurement, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using system specific heat (c) measurement and Laser using Flash technology thermal diffusivity coefficient (α) measurements were performed. Experimental measurement of the effective thermal conductivity of the material (k=α.ρ.c) is found from the expression. For numerical solution scanning electron microscope images (SEM) was used. These images using AutoCAD software finite element based software that has been made ready for Ansys. Ansys two -dimensional and effective thermal conductivity calculated at constant surface temperature boundary conditions. A new numerical method based on the thermal conductivity principle of the inserts was used in the study using SEM images and Element Analysis (EDS) results.
