The Determination Of Burden Care Of Caregivers For Bedridden Patients
Abstract :
This research is a descriptive study carried out to determine the burden care of caregivers for bedridden patients and factors affecting burden of these individuals. This research was carried out in a university hospital, between the dates of June 15 and September 15. The sample of the study consisted of 100 caregivers for bedridden patients. Data were collected by using demographic data form, Rush Medicus Patient Classification System and Zarit Burden Care Scale. At the end of study, it was determined that 77% ofcaregiverswere female, 70% of the patients were middle-level-dependence and the totalmean score of Zarit Burden Care Scale was 27.77±8.85. Also, it was found that statistically significant difference between the health perceptions of caregivers, working condition, occupation, the dependency level of patients and the burden care scores.
