Adolescence Pregnancy and Adolescence Motherhood
Abstract :
Adolescence period is accepted to be a transition period for the individual from childhood to adulthood with biological, psychological and social changes. According to the data of the World Health Organization, a great majority of the population is brought into the world by adolescent pregnant women in the developed and developing countries. Being one of the high-risk pregnancies, adolescence pregnancies might cause important social and health problems in terms of mother and baby. Since the births that occur during the adolescence period disable the formation of healthy generations and development of countries, they form one of the most important social problems that shall be approached carefully today. This paper aims to attract attention to the results of adolescence pregnancies on mother and children.
