The Importance of Lifestyle Changes to Prevent the Transmission to Diabetes of Individuals withPrediabetes
Abstract :
Diabetes along with obesity, sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy diet has increased worldwide. Type 2 diabetes constitutes about 90% of all diabetes cases. Inhibition of the development of diabetes in prediabetic phase patients, can be achieved with permanent behavioral changes. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of the studies aiming to prevent Type 2 diabetes with life style change on the people who have a high risk of diabetes, Impaired Glucose Tolerance, Impaired Fasting Glucose or heavy insulin resistance. The purpose of this compiled article is to enlighten the applications aiming to prevent or delay diabetes development of patients with prediabetes in accordance with practises based on evidence.
