  • Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationships between the mobbing and locus ofcontrol points of teachers. A total of 753 teachers employed in Ankara city center participatedin the study. Locus of Control Scale developed by Rotter (1966) and adapted into Turkishby Dağ (1991) and Negative Acts Questionnaire developed by Einearsen and Raknes (1997)and adapted into Turkish by Cemaloğlu (2007) was used to gather data in the study.Frequency (f), percentage (%), mean ( x ), standard deviation (S), and t-test were performedto analyze the data. Results revealed that approximately three out of five of the teachers hadexternal locus of control and that the two out of five of the teachers had internal locus ofcontrol. Teachers generally experienced mobbing and mobbing was mostly observed on dutydimension. In addition, approximately more than tenth of teachers experienced mobbing inthe last six months and teachers who had external locus of control experienced mobbing inthe dimensions of negative communication, duty, and workload more than teachers who hadinternal locus of control
