Kaputru War in The Light of Historical Sources

Abstract
Seljuk Emirs who were ordered to flood to Anatolia by the first Seljuk Sultan, Tuğrul Bey, immediately started their flood to Anatolia together with the Turkoman groups who gathered in the Horasan Basin coming from Turkestan. Seljuk Forces won a great victory in the battle performed at Kaputru Castle in Basean region and in front of the Okomion town on 18th of October 1049 between Turkish Army which was moving towards the interior parts of Anatolia and commanded by the Seljuk Emirs; İbrahim Yınal and Kutalmış and the allied forces composed of Byzantians, Armenians and Georgians. This study shows that the first battle between allied forces and Seljuks and the peace agreement signed after the war in the light of historical sources.
