Abstract :
Kyrgyz Turks are one of the Turkic tribest has live in the Middle East and they are Muslim. The data given in the sources of Turkish Language and Historys how that Kyrgyz Turks are one of the oldest Turkic tribes.Kyrgyz Turks, saying that ‘family is the small homeland’ for the continuation of the posterity, place demphasis on the family life and did whatever it took fort he continuation of the posterity. They specify that boy child is necessary for the survival of the family home and cher is hed them more than girls. The families who do not have kids most parti-cularly boys, visited sacred tombs and fountains, hoped for help from God, read verses from Quran for their late Ancestors. Thus, they believed that wis hed would come true. Those beliefs among Kyrgyz people are stil alive.In this study, Kyrgyz Turks, family life are men-tioned briefly, in the continuation of posterity the necessity and the significance of boy child is told. Besides, examples are given from the her oicsagas of the Turkic tribes and they are supported with pro-verbs. The aim of this study is to determinethe similarities and differences between Kyrgyz Turks and the other Turkic tribes in terms of family life.
