Lyrics anthologies areone of the important sources in thefield of traditional Turkish music education and history. They are poetry anthologies that consists of theoretical infor-mation and in which composed poetries are collected and the names of composer, of tune and of tempo are stated.This study is limited with the printed work dated on K.15510 registered for the number and dated 1311, ‚Yeni Şarkı Mecmuası. and it is provided among the granted books of Seyfettin ÖZEGE from the central library of Atatürk UniversityIn this study, the assessment was deter-mined on repertory, composer, lyric writer, tune and tempo and the states of repertory, composer, lyric writer, tune and tempo were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, data was presented about the importance of lyric ant-hologies and their roles in Turkish Music.Thirty-eight (38) lyrics in Yeni Şarkı Mecmuası were determined. All lyrics written in the anthology were in the form of song, they all had tune, tempo, and lyrics but their lyric writers and composers were unknown.Data was compared to the repertory of Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and of Turkish Classical Music (TCM).As a result of this comparison, it was found that 33 songs of 38 songs were recorded in the repertory of TRT and of TCM. It was also found that the remaining 5 songs might be lost or forgotten considering that they were not recorded in the repertory of TRT TCM.
