Abstract
Open Access is a resource and publication sharing model which has the aim of free ser-ving of both individual and institutional in-formation resources to the ones who need them. In recent times, there is a growing interest to this model particularly from uni-versities both in Turkey and in the World. In Turkey, many University libraries have started to use Open Access Model to convert their journals to the e-journal. One of these at-tempts has been executed in Ataturk Univer-sity in Erzurum in Eastern Anatolia Region. In this paper first, it is aimed to make a brief description of the situation of e-journal publi-cation in academic level in Turkey, and then the attempt in Ataturk University and acade-micians‘ evaluations are discussed in this context.
