Abstract :
The word ‘yona’ in Şeyyad Hamza’s work Yusuf u Zeliha was detected incorrectly and read as ‘yöne’. The word ‘yöne’ was thought as yöne yön-e yön- “yönelmek”.But there is no verb like yön- that is used in the meaning of “yönelmek” in Turkish. Because of this the related word must be read as ‘yona’ not ‘yöne’. yona yon-a yon- should be evaluated as “to attact,to wound,to shred, to pare (of wild animals like wolf etc…)
