Abstract :
Anatolian Folklore Associaton was founded on 1 st November 1927 in pioneer of Ziyaeddin Fahri [Fındıkoğlu]. The aim (purpose) of the association was to put the Turkish Folklore Studies into an academic orbit. The most important activity of the association, which was renamed ‚Turkish Folklore Association‛ on 18th March 1928, was publishing a magazine called ‚Folklore News‛ from 1928. The magazine which included collected activities was pressed 124 times. In ‚News‛ part ın the last pages of the first press, the activities in our country and foreign countries is touched on. Mehmet Halit Bayrı was the writer whos studies are pressed the most. In that magazine, public life-style, herbalism, the belief and behavior of the public, folk music, folk dances, folklore studies, folk theatre, art, plays for children, entertainments, are mentioned. Besides these, there are some articles and introductive texts of boks of Folkllore Association. The most mentioned subjects are writings of folklore. The magazine shows that there is a substantial folklore potention.
