A MICRO STYLE EXAMINANATION TRIAL: THE STYLE AHMED ARİF’S POEMS MERHABA, İÇERDE, AY KARANLIK

Ahmed Arif is one of few poets who has a distinctive feature, and who became one of the prominent poets with few poems like Ahmet Haşim. In the early years of poem writing, though the movement of Garip was popular, he did not show any sympathy with the movement, even he criticized the movement with his own utterances. Arif succeeded to create a distinctive style of himself in his poems by being concise and cordial. He committed the thought, sense, and fury of the society from which he came, and he merged the issues with his love and hope, which turned out a sincere style. That made him a beloved poet. However it seems that there has not been enough research on Ahmed Arif so far. In this study, three poems of Ahmet Arif named “Merhaba, İçerde, Ay Karanlık” was selected through random sampling method, and examined their styles with micro style examination method. The poems were examined in three different perspectives: Language, Content, and Art. At first, the examination was carried out by investigating sound, vocabulary, vocabulary set, and sentence length, and then by investigating the content and art style of the poems. Therefore, it was aimed to find out cues about the style of Ahmed Arif.
