Abstract :
This paper provides a new evidence for explaining the impact of technological innovation that generate agricultural durability in first time and improving economic growth in a second time, using data from 3 Maghreb countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) over the period of 1990-2012. Using simultaneous equation (3SLS), we found that an important relationship exists between the three depend variables: technological innovation, agricultural productivity and economic growth. Our results also showed that the mechanization founded damage the agricultural productivity and durability through resource deterioration (energy consumption, CO2 emission and ecological footprint) and demographic growth. But it improved the economic growth. Inversely, irrigation system damages the economic growth through foreign direct investment and exchange term decreases. But it promotes agricultural productivity.
