Abstract
This study aims to presents the project supported by the Scientific Research Centre of Uludag University and entitled “Contributions to the Development of Linguistics Skills and Awareness of Environmental Issues for Future Foreign Language Teachers”. Hence, the applications in the French department are presented. The project s starting point is that the documentaries are not used enough in the teaching of foreign languages. In collaboration with the English and German departments, the main goal is to develop, from the documentary Home, educational materials and thus contribute to the development of language and professional skills of future teachers. In this study the importance of the use of audio-visual materials in foreign language teaching and the advantages of documentary films have been highlighted. Then the development phases of teaching materials from the Home corpus for learners of FLE are presented. Following the return of the learners’ perceptions for the implementation, some didactical proposals are given to optimize this material.
