SENSIBILITY OF THE AGRICULTURAL GROWTH AND THE COMPETITIVENESS TO AGRICULTURAL POLICY’S SHOCKS: EMPIRICAL OBVIOUS FACT FOR BENIN

This paper identifies the agricultural policy’s shocks in Benin and analyzes their impact on the agricultural growth and the competitiveness. A VAR and the Cholesky decomposition are used. Results suggest, among others, that the agricultural offer’s policies have no contemporary effects on the competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Benin and that the preference for the present shock has a fast and sustainable impact on the agricultural production. At end, the paper recommends that it is important the agricultural policy in Benin favors the preference for the present.
