Title Of Article :
The Effects of Compost Applications On Soil pH And Organic Matter Contents
Abstract :
The wastes emerged at the end of the agricultural production are being eliminated without evaluate. It’s estimated that organic wastes are large volume, types and quantities of wastes vary. Cut flower carnation cultivation and mushroom production is carried out in Antalya region for a long time. As a result of this production is occure a great of organic waste (carnation wastes and spent mushroom compost). This study; wastes are composted with different proportions and additives by mixed. This article were evaluated the effects of compost and organic material on pH and soil organic matter content of soil that it growth carnation. With the organic material and compost application in soil, the change of pH and organic matter content of soil were found to be statistically significant (p 0.001). While soil pH was decreasing, soil organic matter content increased with organic material and compost applications. The effects of organic materials on soil pH and organic matter content provide positive relation for vegetable production.
