Abstract :
The study was done in 2006–2007 growing season under Çukurova conditions to determine the effects of different form of barnyard manure on seed and forage yields and quality of annual ryegrass. Field trials were arranged in the complete factorial block design with three replications. In the study four forms of barnyard manure (farm manure, separated liquid, separated solid, slurry) at 20 kg/da N dose were used. Doses divided into two parts, first half were applied at seeding and second one was applied as liquid forms. According to results, total forage, dry matter, crude protein, digestible dry matter and seed yields ranged from 3133.67 to 6591.75 kg/da, from 712.90 to 1174.46 kg/da, from 34.75 to 119.07 kg/da, from 450.74 to 691.11 kg/da, and from 22.09 to 34.22 kg/da respectively. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) and Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) ratios, also, ranged from 34.62%-38.20%. and 54.50%-61.18%, respectively. The highest values were obtained from commercial chemical fertilizer except seed yield from separated liquid form. The lowest ratios for ADF and NDF were obtained from the slurry plus separated liquid applications.
