Abstract :
This study is conducted between 2001-2010 to determine suitability of urea fertilizer used in Turkey to our country’s soil conditions and related standards and regulations. 327 fertilizer samples including almost all regions of Turkey analyzed in laboratory and their nitrogen and biuret contents and some physical properties were determined. Evaluations were made separately for each year, additionally ten years average and total values were calculated. According to results of the analyses, urea fertilizer did not contradict with related standards and regulations. A few fertilizer samples were found unsuitable in reference to standards and regulations. Acceptability rates became quite higher in recent years.
